Travis is a Senior Private Wealth Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), CPWA®, and AEP® Professional at AWM Capital.
Following his career as a Major League Baseball Pitcher, Travis has dedicated his life to helping fellow professional athletes navigate the complexities of money on a path to financial success.
His background as an MLB player uniquely qualifies him as a trusted advisor.
Former Major League Baseball Player
After playing professional baseball for 9 seasons, living his dream of pitching in the Major Leagues in 2006 for the Seattle Mariners, he graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 3 years with a Bachelors in Management/Finance in 2013.
While working towards his degree, Travis coached high school baseball at The Brook Hill School, as well as at Tyler Junior College, winning State and National championships at each. Travis began working in 2014 as a Financial Advisor.
Community Service and Volunteering
Travis has been very active in the Tyler community and throughout East Texas through several volunteer efforts including:

Travis served on the Board of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County and The Children’s Village.
Travis is an active member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) and the Association of Professional Baseball Players of America (APBPA), while also assisting with various baseball events in the area.
Personal Life
Personally, he enjoys spending time with his wife Shelby, and their two children Hutton and Harrison, as well as playing golf, hunting, traveling, and watching baseball.
