Career in Financial Planning

Jacob is a Private Wealth Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) at AWM Capital.

Following his career as a Major League Baseball Outfielder, Jacob has dedicated his life to helping professional athlete families flourish through a healthy relationship with money.

As a fourth-generation professional baseball player and the third in his family to debut in the Major Leagues, he has an uncommon depth of understanding when acting as your trusted advisor. He brings the same level of dedication, discipline and commitment to his role as a Private Wealth Advisor as he did on the baseball field.

Former Major League Baseball Player

In the 2013 MLB Draft the Chicago White Sox selected Jacob in the 3rd round with their 91st overall pick. He went on to play for the organization for 6 years, making his MLB debut in 2017, as the opening day centerfielder.

Following his baseball career with the White Sox, he graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with Business and Communications concentrations.

Community Service and Volunteering

Jacob remains committed to the Financial Planning profession and the sport of baseball volunteering as the Primary Chair Representative for Team USA’s Baseball Board of Directors in addition to being a board member for the United States Athletes’ Commission (USA AC) on behalf of USA baseball. He’s also an active member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Personal Life

Personally, he enjoys spending time in nature with his wife Caylor, daughter Jayden and two dogs Kai (German Shepard) and Bronx (miniature Australian Shepard).
